ABOUT
From the Director:
Hoover Theatre is a community of theatre artists who seek to grow in acting and technical skills. Whether the style is Modern, Greek, Shakespearean or even 18th Century Comedy, the students are exposed to all aspects of the craft. We explore different types of performance which can be seen in our spring musical, Haunted Hallways, radio shows, books on tape, and original works.
Regardless of the event or the classroom focus, Hoover Theatre provides opportunities to collaborate and to create quality productions in a learning environment. We have won multiple awards over the years in classical and contemporary acting as well as musical theatre. While the cast has often won Best Ensemble, the technical crews have been honored for best set, costumes, and technical production. Best of Shows are a part of Hoover’s tradition and the department has performed at SETC, The Southeastern Theatre Conference.
We see ourselves as a creative family and we welcome interested students to join us on our artistic journey. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
